Gjallarhorn - Sjofn

Nordic folk revivalism at its best, that's what this quartet from Finland and Sweden has to offer. Making use of drums from all over the world, didgeridoos and a super fine female voice, Gjallarhorn takes you to a mythological trip where stories are told. Sjofn is named after the goddess, trying to request her energy to this top class world music album. The beautiful language adds a magical atmosphere to the sweet musical environment, putting you very far away from your homeland and allowing to discover the landscapes that always came up in your dreams.

Real healthy madness happens in Dejelill Och Lagerman, the 3rd track. You probably won't be able to stop jumping with a huge smile on your face from the beginning of the second half of the music. Jenny Wilhelms's voice penetrates deeply inside in a very high tone, reachable only by very few of all world vocal professionals.
